Portable Generator Connection

If you are not looking to power your entire home in the event of a power outage but would like the option to power certain circuits without the hassle of running numerous extension cords, a portable generator connection may be the right option for you. We can install a manual transfer switch or we can upgrade your electrical service to include an interlock (see below for more details on each option). A second portable generator connection option is the manual transfer switch. This option is less versatile than the interlock panel in that it will only allow you to power a single circuit such as the circuit that feeds your sub-panel. The sub-panel is where the circuits for all of your lights and outlets would be. Combined with a 30 amp or 50 amp generator inlet, this would mean less hassle when using your portable generator. Both the manual transfer switch option and the interlock option include a generator cord.
